 Ninja StiTcheS shirts! It has been confirmed; Precious Miseries will be in the 2010 Artist Alley! Unfortunately since the alleys are split into 2D and 3D, I will not be allowed to sell StiTcheS ‘plush action figures’ at the convention. However I will try to restock my supply of t-shirts! I made a short run of Mu shirts for this past Ikkicon and they practically all went! (I do have some left from the con and the few that I had no room to pack. I will be selling them via direct email. Let me know if you are interested in a Mu shirt by emailing Precious Miseries. First come first serve and only a few designs and sizes are left.)
Ninja StiTcheS Shirts
I ended up selling the Mu shirts for less than what I had initially planned; one shirt for ten dollars and two for fifteen. I sold them so cheap because it cost me less to make them that I had originally thought. The next run of shirt will have to be a little more expensive though. The Mu shirt was a one color process with two runs per shirt (front and back), but the Ninja StiTcheS shirt will be two colors and three runs (front and back). I’m thinking thirteen to fourteen dollars per Ninja StiTcheS shirt might be reasonable. I’ll also see about baby tees; if they are too expensive I’ll have to pass it up for this round and hope for baby tees during the next t-shirt run.

I’ve noticed quite a lot of store activity from over this past weekend and last few days. Please keep in mind that I will not be back home until Jan 10th and all merchandise will be sent out after I get back. I’ll be adding a random freebie in each package since I am away and you all have to wait.

Starting next year I want to give back to my extraordinary fans who have taken PM fandom to a whole new level. I’d like to make it an annual tradition in which one fan is chosen near the end of the year to receive a special little something from me.
There is NO contest for who the first time ‘winner’ of the Precious Miseries Fan of the Year prize is. She’s been a huge fan since the beginning and has stuck with PM through thick and thin. She’s purchased almost all (if not all) available PM merchandise and has always sent me feedback and suggestions! (Which I love to read.) She also been a huge help in spreading the online word about Precious Miseries. In 2007 she founded the livejournal fan community, PM Revolution, and she has faithfully updated the community since.
The first Fan of the Year prize goes to Stargoth. Since she’s been doing all this on her own, since 2007, I’d like to really do something special for her. She’ll be receiving a one of kind, custom made t-shirt with any two Precious Miseries characters she chooses. She’ll also receive the original, signed, art the t-shirt was designed from. On the back of the t-shirt will be a custom note of appreciation written specifically for her. She will also be sent three free shirts of choice, from future store merchandise. (Shirts soon to be made)

Wow, my New Year’s will start off with a ‘bang’, so to speak. I’ll be attending Ikkicon in Austin TX, Jan 1st-3rd. I’ll be amongst good friends, meet some new ones and have an Artist Alley table. I’ll be flying out to GA the 28th of Dec, road trip to TX for ikki, road trip back to GA and then fly home again the 9th of January. It’ll be fun, but I will anxiously miss my new little pet, Ricochet.
There will be one new exciting addition to my merchandise this coming year, t-shirts! I’ll be making a small run of simple Mu shirts for my ikkicon table. If I have shirts left after the con is over, I’ll make them available online to everyone who wants one. They’ll most likely be priced at $12.00 a shirt. Below are the sample design concepts.

If you haven’t read the PM comic, Ragdoll arc, you’re missing out on Ray Chan’s amazing work.
The comic project is still on hiatus, hopefully not for much longer; there are so many things going on right now. For those who don’t know about the comic project, let me summarize. Precious Miseries is hiring artists to draw PM based comics. The stories are provided and each arc is assigned to a different artist who has a unique style. So far only one arc has been made, but there are four more arcs being written/worked on and five more artists in the line up.
And here are summaries of future comic arcs! (In no particular order)
Lazuline’s Betrothed
Lazuline and Azure have been betrothed since childhood: the more Azure embraces the idea, the more Lazuline wants to reject their relationship. When she finally confronts Azure about her opposition on their betrothal, they have to come to a decision.

Heart Breaker Part 1
Heartbreaker takes us through her daily chores on Valentine’s Day; breaking people’s hearts. After running into her long time crush, Cupid, she comes to an inconceivable revelation; he likes her too.

Heart Breaker Part 2
A year has passed since Cupid confessed his feeling for her and Heartbreaker find there are no hearts to break! Cupid has gone missing and it’s up to her, Heartless and Glaive to find out what’s happened to him.
Gothica vs Saccharine
When Gothica sabotages Saccharine’s bread ingredients (again), Saccharine decides the time to turn the other cheek has ended. The two continue in a prank war that gets so out of hand, Seven must intercede for the good of the manor.

Lilith accidentally enters into Alise’s dream, and what she doesn’t realize is that whatever Alise dreams turns into Wonderland. When the dream goes sour, Lilith must run for her life to escape from a murderous version of Alise.

 Grey Lady Dress Commission. While I didn’t have an Artist Alley table during this year’s Ausa, I still kept busy. Instead of working the con, I decided to focus on the fashion show and cosplay…ha ha ha, I found that was plenty of work in itself!! (I have newfound respect for professional cosplayers.) I decided to cosplay and do two photo shoots of different outfits on the fashion show day (Saturday). So most of my Saturday was spent getting into and out of 3 outfits and I, sadly, missed most of the con. (Everything exciting happened on Saturday.)
Thursday was spent doing last minute packing and trying to find one piece of my Ursa cosplay. (It’s whereabouts still remain a mystery.) I got to envi’s later than I had wanted, but at least I had pretty much everything I needed. We used Thursday as badge pick up day so no time on Friday would be wasted. (Highly recommended.)

 Over the next few weeks I’ll be converting some text/informational PM pages to blog pages. I’ll still keep the old pages up, but all links will redirect you onto the appropriate blog page. For example, the FAQ page would be so much more efficient as a blog page. For one, you’d have a search option. ^^ Other pages that I’m planning on converting are: newsletter and updates archives, faq, about the artist and possibly downloads, activities, and links.
PM BBS/Message Board
I have received a few emails about the status of the BBS; unfortunately it is down for good. (again, lol) I tried many things to save it, but in the end there wasn’t much I could do. I have worked with ikonboard for many years and have had to rebuild the BBS on 3 separate occasions. While I loved the board when it worked, it was too much of a hassle when things went wrong; and it seemed like it was prone to going wrong.
Now I am looking for a new, self maintainable, BBS. I have found one that I might play around with, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be setting one up any time soon.

 NYAF 2009 Mousse and me at my AA table. The New York Anime Festival (NYAF) went very well!! I had a lot of positive feedback on my Precious Miseries series and StiTcheS plushies, which were sold in the Artist Alley. There were also many positive comments on both sweet/deco loli outfits I made and wore the first and second day! Thanks everyone who stopped by my booth to say hi, make purchases or take pictures!!

All new dresses will be added to my portfolio once I get them professionally photographed. Think of this as a ’sneak peak’.
